Have the city build universities. It will raise our status.
can't the city attract bio-technology companies to set up their facilities at the CNWS with the ultimate goal of having internships available for the youth of Concord to get excellent exposure into a major developing field!

we need affordable housing. Working people in Concord can afford rents below $800.00...Build rental units along this rent figure.
The city conducted another session to solicit input from the citizens of Concord this past Saturday, June 24th, 2006. It took place at the Keller House on Clayton Rd.
Various ideas were given: affordable housing, traffic issues, water concerns, toxic and clean up.
Jimmy Araujo addressed the hispanic community during last Sunday mass at St. Bonaventure Church and provided them with the forms to have their ideas be heard by the city of Concord.
Excellent presentation by the City of Concord at the Senior Center last night, July 11th, 2006. Agenda was an update on where we are regarding the Weapon Station: process for selecting members to the Community Advisory Committee(CAC): 15 members total.
Some citizens expressed mixed positions: Some were in favor of no-development at all while others were in favor.
The next meeting is August 1st.
The latino community is aggressively pusuing the American dream of owning their own home. And they want to buy in nice neighborhoods. Concord should not overbuild low-income housing units so that this become a problem neighborhood later.
The city of Concord had a meeting on 8-1-06 regarding the structure of the Community Advisory Committee. Comments are still welcome for the future development of the Naval Weapons Station. The city is committed to having transparent dealings in this endeavour.
The city of Concord is taking applications to be a member of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). Applications can be obtained thru the www.cityofconcord.org . Deadline is 9-15-06.
The city of Concord has received a total of 132 applications for the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) positions: 19 or 21 positions will be available.
Interviews will take place during the month of October and will be open to the public as well as audio taped.
